Common Service Center (CSP)

Based on the assessment of the erstwhile Common Services Centre (CSC) Scheme, the Government of India has initiated CSC 2.0 Project in August, 2015, under the Digital India. The objective of the CSC 2.0 project is to set up at least one CSC in 2.50 lakh Gram Panchayats (GPs) across the Country to deliver various citizen centric services. The project is being implemented by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited (CSC Special Purpose Vehicle, CSCSPV). It is a self-sustainable entrepreneurship model which is run by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs).

State Designated Agency (SDA)

State Designated Agency (SDA) is a state government agency responsible for implementation of Common Service Centres scheme in the respective State. SDA primarily facilitates e-readiness of the State and provides policy and regulatory support.

SDA facilitates integration of existing ICT-enabled Government schemes into the Common Service Centres scheme. It also helps identify Common Service Centres locations, coordinates with various State departments and facilitates capacity building and awareness campaigns within the State.
